Well… what to write in an Arthur’s Christmas review? We watched the movie about 2 weeks ago, when The Boy was feeling a little poorly. A great afternoon watch. I remember liking it then and now, looking back on the images of “Arthur” and the little youtube video clip below, it just makes me smile and feel all warm an fuzzy. There you have it. A Christmas feel good movie.

The story is simple. We are in “modern day Santa age” and Santa, has delivered ALL the presents bar one. Shock horror, one little girl is NOT going to get her present this year. Santa things this doesn’t matter too much, after all a billion presents HAVE been delivered.. what doesone little blip mean? Well.. Arthur (Santa’s youngest son) wants to set this right. Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without every child waking up happy! He goes off on a mission with GrandSanta to try and save the day. But time is against them. Will they make it? What will happen?
We loved the movie – the children loved it, I loved it, anyone I have asked loved it. Granny saw a bit of it and thought it a bit odd, but I am pretty certain that Granny hasn’t watched a modern day Christmas movie, nor an animation in at least 15 years… so she doesn’t count (sorry Granny) and she did remark on how the children seemed to be loving it. Here is another nice little review.
Watch a clip:
Would my husband have enjoyed it? Yes, he did.
Did the kids enjoy it? Absolutely
Likeability of characters – 9/ 10 (I loved them all)
General story line – 8/10 (fun without any really scary bits)
The Ending – 9/10 (made me all emotional, awe)
