Sooo. Off to the Polka Theatre we go again – this time to see their “a mini Opera for Kids” – Skitterbang Island. What can I say…? We simply were enchanted. This was a magical and beautiful performance bring music and theatre to even the youngest (and *cough* oldest) amongst us. We were simply enchanted and the kids (6yrs and 4yrs) couldn’t take their eys of the puppets, especially the adorable Skitterbang!
If are in London (UK) this Summer, I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful show – I have said it before, and I will say it again: children’s theatre at its best. The best bit about a parent is getting to go, see and enjoy performances like this! Beautiful.
A wonderful puppet show involving Marie and her Uncle Edward, who are shipwrecked and separated. Along comes the wonderful Skitterbang – a rabbit like creature, that loves to collect things from the shores. Skitterbang and Marie meet and become great friends. But all goes wrong when Uncle Edward finally finds Marie and mistakes Skitterbang for a horrible Monster.
- 4-6yrs olds

Check out the video (though, I don’t think it does this wonderful show just!!)
The characters are endearing.
The puppets are beautiful.
The music is gorgeous.
I give this 10 out of 10. Well worth a visit.
