The new Tinkerbell Movie is coming out VERY soon (14th February in the UK). And we were lucky enough to go along to one of the preview screenings. We have big Tinkerbell fans in our house, with lost of Tinkerbell Crafts going on all the time! So it was great to have the opportunity to see Tinkerbell & The Pirate Fairy with the kids.
We went with two boys aged 6 and a girl aged 4 and they all ADORED the movie. We loved how the film wove in elements of Peter Pan – with a key character being a baby crocodile that swallows a clock and a certain Captain James…….
Zarina is a talented fairy that loves to experiment. But fairy rules prehibit her from doing so. Which means that after a falling out about the very important blue fairy dust, she leaves in dismay. A year or so later she returns to STEAL the blue fairy does and it quickly turns out that she is running a pirate’s ship. Tinkerbell and her friends go after her to retrieve the precious fairy dust, but also to persuade Zarina to come home. And so the adventure begins.
Watch the Tinkerbell & The Pirate Fairy Trailer:
Would my husband have enjoyed it? Yes he did! (I think he enjoyed the connections with the Peter Pan movie)
Did the kids enjoy it? Yes, absolutely!
Likeability of characters – 10/ 10 (they were all great characters and the boys particularly enjoyed giggling over the pirates)
General story line – 9/10
The Ending – 9/10 (again predictable, but you can’t have it any other way)
Definitely a movie to watch if you have a tinkerbell fan in the house….
Whilst we wait for the big day.. we will be making some more Tinkerbell Pegs!
